Echoes and Light
Working collaboratively with artist Sue Willis we produced a short film that is not intended to be specifically a documentary nor have a defined narrative or time frame; neither an oral history nor focused on historical detail however all of these elements are weaved seamlessly into the final piece giving a contemporary arts-based outcome. Richly layered in meaning and texture, perhaps as a painter would approach a blank canvas - the resulting mise-en-scène captures not only the sense of the building’s history but also its current guise as a well-used and much-loved community asset.
